Wow, the shot has a great atmosphere! I really like the lighting and colours.
Okay, perhaps itīs not really a nice place to walk through alone at night but it looks really great!
Yea, the atmosphere there is awesome. It would be such a great place for a photo shoot too.
The area isn't really that creepy, this one place though, does seem rather intimidating... that's why I like it
It is amazing how people who don't know each other can touch eachothers lives!
I am very sad this week since my best friend just passed away. I am in Florida and will travelling to Woodside next week to say goodbye.
Your photo has made me extremely happy, I grew up in this apartment building on 47 Ave. I lived there for over 20 years, so I know it well. It's amazing how beautiful and dark snowy alley can actually be.
Don't hate me for taking so long to respond, I'm horrible at getting back to comments sometimes.
With that said, I've been thinking about your comment for quite a while now! It's amazing how the Internet is able to bring people and information together in such a quick and intimate way.
I can't believe you recognized the area! My ex lives near St. Teresa's (I assume you know where that is) and we walk down the block of that building almost every time we are headed to his house. The alley way is somewhat creepy at night and I NEVER see anyone in there - day or night!
That night though, I was walking to the train alone and trying to make my boring, ugly walk somewhat interesting by attempting to find something special in the ordinary.
I'm so glad this photo touched you and so happy that you commented! I hope you're feeling better about the loss of your best friend and I hope Florida is working out well for you. How was your trip back to Woodside?
I lived in that apartment building for 18 years and in the area for 24... I went to St. Theresa too. The odds of finding this pictue, at that particular time, are greater than winning the lottery. When I was up there, I drove past the alley, stopped by St. T's, saw family. Happy and sad time
Your saying… Man created god… I believe that too. But I am always amazed when spiritualism crashes back into my soul like a frieght train!! And their's really nothing wrong with a few spirits!
A brand new monthly article which showcases some of deviantART's finest equine artists, as well as recognizing the lesser-known but equally talented ones. Interviews, helpful tutorials and features can all be found here too! I hope you enjoy it.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
We're going to delve into the awesome world of Prints on dA - all these lovelies have been made using Stock that can be found in the dun dun dun Stock Gallery. So have a look and if you like them you could have them hanging in your own house!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
